The Red Sox bullpen continues to be reconstructed. Jon Papelbon had a bad year last year, has really slid noticeably since blowing a lead in the playoffs in 2009. In addition to his struggle his contract status has become a liability for him. The Sox, it would seem, have no plans to sign him to the kind of money he will be looking for. His final year of arbitration this year will make him 10 million at least.
Lenny DiNardo, Andrew Miller join Felix Doubrant as potential lefties out of the pen. If Miller can show any of the potential he once had he could be a find. Matt Albers, Bobby Jenks and Dan Wheeler join Papelbon and Daniel Bard as the right handers and surely Theo is not done.
It should be interesting.
